This includes, but is not limited to, dental impressions, photographs of your teeth and face, treatment plans, and communications with our affiliated dental professionals. We will only collect sensitive information with your explicit consent.

  • Technical Information: Your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, device identifiers, and operating system.

  • Usage Information: Information about how you access and interact with our website and services, such as the pages you visit and the features you use.

3. How We Collect Your Information

We collect personal data in the following ways:

  • Directly from You: When you complete forms on our website (such as the free assessment form), create an account, purchase products, or communicate with us via email, phone, or in person.

  • Automatically: When you visit our website, we may collect Technical and Usage Information using cookies and similar technologies.

  • From Third Parties: We may receive information from third parties, such as our dental partners or marketing affiliates, where you have consented to them sharing your information with us.

4. Why We Collect, Hold, and Use Your Information

We collect, hold, and use your personal data for the primary purpose for which it was collected, which includes:

  • Assessing your suitability for our clear aligner treatment.

  • Developing and managing your personalised treatment plan.

  • Processing your orders and payments.

  • Communicating with you about your treatment and providing customer support.

  • Fulfilling our contractual and legal obligations.

We may also use your information for a secondary purpose that is related to the primary purpose, where you would reasonably expect us to use it, such as:

  • Improving our website, products, and services.

  • Internal administrative purposes, including training and auditing.

  • Sending you marketing materials (only where you have consented).

5. Marketing Communications and Your Consent

We comply with the provisions of the PDPA, including the requirements related to the Do Not Call (DNC) Registry. We will only send you direct marketing communications, such as emails about promotions, newsletters, or new services, if you have provided your clear and unambiguous consent.

How to Opt-Out of Marketing

You can withdraw your consent to receive marketing materials at any time, without any charge. To do so, you have two simple options:

  1. Click the "unsubscribe" link located at the bottom of any marketing email you receive from us.

  2. Send an email with your request to marketing@one-smile.com. Please include your full name and the email address you wish to have removed from our marketing lists.

Opting out of marketing will not affect our essential service-related communications with you regarding your treatment or account.

6. Disclosure of Your Personal Data

We will not sell or rent your personal data. We may disclose your data to trusted third parties who are essential for providing our services, including:

  • Our affiliated registered dental professionals and technicians involved in creating and overseeing your treatment plan.

  • IT service providers who manage our systems, data storage, and website.

  • Payment processors and delivery partners.

  • Our professional advisers (e.g., lawyers and accountants).
     

Government and regulatory bodies, as required or authorised by law.

Cross-Border Disclosure: Some of our service providers may be located overseas. We may disclose your personal data to entities located outside of Singapore. When we do so, we will take steps to ensure that your personal data continues to receive a standard of protection that is at least comparable to that provided under the PDPA.

7. Security and Storage of Your Information

We take reasonable steps and make reasonable security arrangements to protect your personal data from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. This includes implementing physical, technical, and administrative security measures.

When your personal data is no longer needed for the legal or business purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify it.

You have a right to request access to the personal data we hold about you and to request its correction.
 

To request access or correction, please contact our Data Office (DO) using the details below. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe. We may need to verify your identity before proceeding and may charge a reasonable fee for an access request. Please note that in some circumstances, as permitted by the PDPA, we may not be able to provide you with access to all your personal data.
 

9. Making a Complaint

If you believe we have breached our obligations under the PDPA or have a concern about our handling of your personal data, please contact us directly to allow us to investigate. Please direct your complaint to our Data Office at the address below.
